S/he will spearhead the further development of RCPC’s role as the lead agency in the prevention of child abuse and neglect and advocacy for healthy families in Interior Alaska. The Director, working in concert with the board, staff and volunteers will move the Agency forward in the development and implementation of internal and external goals that reflect the organization’s vision, mission and business plan. The Director provides overall leadership for strategy, organizational development, implementation and financial oversight.

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and WIC Manager, the WIC CPA’s (Competent Professional Authority) primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of program services in compliance with State and RCPC’s guidelines, policies and procedures. Responsibilities of this position would include eligibility determination, nutrition counseling, community referrals, prescribing food packages, appointment scheduling and accurate documentation of those services utilizing the Alaska WIC software system. The CPA provides participant centered nutrition education for individual and groups. The CPA will promote breastfeeding as the optimum way to feed a baby.

RCPC is currently hiring for the following position: Family Advocate – Stevie’s Place. Under the direct supervision of the CAC Program Manager, the family advocate works as a partner in providing and acquiring proper resources for non-offending parents or guardians of alleged victims of child sexual or domestic abuse and child victims. The advocate has experience with and access to local service agencies and resources to better meet the needs of clients at Stevie’s Place. The family advocate also assists families and child victims in understanding and navigating the process of a child abuse investigation. The advocate serves as a liaison and voice for families, working between the different resource agencies and the multidisciplinary team, to ensure services are provided in the best interest of the child.

RCPC’s WIC Program is currently hiring for the following position: WIC Registered Dietitian

Under the direct supervision of the WIC Manager, the WIC RD’s primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of program services in compliance with State and RCPC’s guidelines, policies and procedures. Responsibilities of this position include providing leadership to implement WIC quality measures through effective program Management. Provides and supervise services to clients applying and/or established as participants eligible to receive WIC benefits. Duties also include interviewing and assessing the nutritional status of the client(s) by which the eligibility status will be determined. Insures certification data, food package codes and non‐contract formula approvals complete and in compliance with the State policies. The Clinical Supervisor will also provide individual and group training in nutrition education for the various stages of the life cycle and promote breastfeeding as the optimum way to feed a baby.
