What Does WIC Offer? Who is eligible for WIC Apply for WIC Program Overview WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers and young children eat well, learn about good nutrition and stay healthy.

resources page. • Nutrition information specific to you • Checks to buy free, healthy food • Tips for eating well to improve health • Referrals for medical and dental care, health insurance, childcare, housing, fuel assistance and other services that can help the entire family • Immunization screening and referrals • Breastfeeding support and breastfeeding supplies such as manual and electric breastpumps • Nutrition information on a variety of topics including: —Maintaining a healthy weight —Meal planning —Label reading —Picky Eaters —Caring for a new baby —Shopping on a budget
Population Served or children under 5 years of age with nutritional needs. Families must meet household income guidelines. Parents, guardians, and/or foster parents may apply for their children. Families on ATAP, Food Stamps, Medicaid, or whose child(ren) receive free or reduced- price lunches are automatically eligible for WIC.
