Below are listings and descriptions of RCPC events held periodically throughout the year.

2008 Cuddle Cure Classes

The Cuddle Cure is a two-hour class for pregnant women, parents, grandparents,

child care providers or anyone who has an interest in the well being of infants from birth to 3 months of age. Participants receive a PARENT KIT which includes a baby bag, a swaddling blanket, the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD, and a Soothing Sounds CD. Cost is $30. Scholarships are available. All classes are held at RCPC,

726 26th Ave., Ste 2.

 

fasd parent & caregiver support group

This support group meets once a month and is for birth, adoptive, foster parents,

or caregivers of a child, teen or young adult who has been diagnosed or is

suspected of having a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Bring a dish to share and

join us in an informal support group, pot-luck style. Children welcome. All meetings

are held at RCPC, 726 26th Ave., Ste 2.

 

PARENTING ON THURSDAYS

Join parents of newborns, tots and teens for a relaxing, informative free discussion

group each Thursday throughout the school year. Story time for the kids is on the

second Thursday of each month on behalf of the Literacy Council of Alaska. Stay

the entire time or just drop by! Group will resume meeting again in September.

Childcare is provided. Everyone is welcome. Please call Tiffany at 456-2866 x102

for more information. All meetings are held at RCPC, 726 26th Ave., Ste 2.

 

Parents of twins support group

Children are welcome at this group for parents of children 3 years of age and

younger. Meet with other parents of twins and connect with resources on medical

issues, parenting and nutrition. Meets twice monthly. In partnership with State of

Alaska Public Health.  All meetings are held at RCPC, 726 26th Ave., Ste 2.
